Descente Thermal D-Lux Beanie Hat - Lightweight (For Women)

This is wwwwwwaaaaayyyyy too small. But I just love it, so I kept it, and I wear an ear warmer on top. It is so small (and I'm a small woman) that my ears stick out, and there's not a lot of "fitting stretch" around the base, so there's no way that it would keep your ears warm. So, it works fine with the additional head band ear warmer that keeps you ears warm and snugs up the bottom so it doesn't slip off. That said, it's really a sensational little item that does the trick of keeping your head warm. I ran in a race today in pure sleet, and winds of 27 mph with wind chill of 11. My head was plenty warm.

I have an average size head and found this beanie perfect under cycling helmet. Big enough to get some coverage over ears. Excellent quality.

to wear in the colder weather while running, seems that it will be easy to stay in position

I purchased this beanie to be worn under my ski helmet. I needed something on the thinner side to fit comfortably while still wearing a helmet, but also keep me warm. This fits the bill perfectly. Other beanie felt too bucky under my helmet.

good alone or under another hat/hoody

Nice fabric but too small to cover ears.

When I looked at the reviews, some said the fit was fine and some said it was too small. I decided to take a chance. Well, I have an average size adult woman's head and this hat is actually a child's hat. I could push it down to cover my ears if I really tried. However, I could tell that less than five minutes into my run it would be creeping up to the top of my head and I would have to keep pulling it down over my ears the whole time. If you want a hat that just covers the top 1/3 of your head leaving your ears exposed this might be the hat for you. But the only people who are going to be able to actually have their ears covered by this hat will not yet have gone through puberty!

Bought hat for use under helmet-nice light weight, yet very warm for coming down those steep mountain passes.

I use this for mountain/road biking when I want to be warm.

I do not have a big head and this hat barely covers my ears. I have to really tug it down. It seems like it'd be perfect for a middle-school or high-school runner, but if you're a small woman give it a try. I'm going to keep it because I think it'll do. The quality is great.
