Descente Wombat Full Finger Cycling Gloves (For Men and Women)

The finger cover on these gloves eliminates the wind and when I get warm I find the cover easy to remove. The wrist cover is long enough to cover skin. The thumbs seem short for my thumbs but this also surprisingly adds some extra support.

I use them for commuting early in the morning. Granted Bay Area "winter" is mild relatively speaking. So far, used in high 40's and did not need additional mittens...true test will be low 40's and into the 30's. Great gloves...really happy so far...the added retractable wind cover is very cool(no pun intended).

First pair I've found that keep my hands warm.

Product is OK, wish I had gotton the L instead of the medium that I normally wear. Fingers are fine but the thumb was short and tight inthe relationship of the other fingers. The cover does work when you are cycling down to about 30 degrees.

These are well-built gloves that offer versatility - they include a mitten hood that can be tucked into a pouch on the back of the hand, or drawn over the fingers in colder temps. The material between the fingers is thinner and not wind-proof, which I though at first was strange. But I realized it offers more flexibility in temp regulation: as you warm up, you can pull off the mitten hood, and allow fingers to breathe some, so you can still keep hands warm, but not overheated, if you choose. Great feature.

I used these gloves running and they were way too hot...which is great of course. Biking to work in temps between 0-20 degrees they have worked well, just right with temperature control.

I've used the glove a couple of times now, once in mid-40's weather with some rain, and once in mid-30's weather, dry and breezy. First- my hands are always cold so this may not apply to some people, but I was hoping for a little warmer glove. It does fairly well, though, and is about as good as lighter ski gloves I've used. Seems to keep the rain off, though I don't know how it would do in a heavy rain. And, I was somewhat impressed with the mitten pull-out: one customer thought it was gimmicky, but it really keeps some wind off my fingers and keeps 'em warmer- it can't cover the thumb, though.

Have only used once this past weekend on a ride that started out at about 40 degrees. The glove fits very well and kept my hands pretty warm, but not as warm as expected. I used the glove in both configurations (regular glove and with the mitten cover on) and found that I wanted the mitten on during the colder part of the ride and peeled it back as it got a bit warmer. I freely admit that I am a wimp when it comes to the cold so I felt that the glove could be a bit warmer (I don't know that I would think it to be warm enough in the thirties or below) but overall I would have to say that this is a good glove. Good fit, good construction, good little grippers on the fingers and palm.

Excellent winter cycling glove!

I live in Minnesota and commute to work. These gloves provide the flexibility for use in cold and frigid temperatures, non-slip treatment only where it's needed (shifter fingers). Nicely made, versatile.
