Designers Guild Battista Lambswool Throw Blanket - Printed Silk Binding

Generous sized throw, warm and luxurious, special treat for Mama's comfort!

I couldn't have asked for a better throw for my couch to throw over during a quick nap. It arrived in time to greet me from the hospital and it was really special.

While the lambswool is wonderfully soft and warm, the overall item was disappointing. STP includes a very tempting photo of the blanket, making it look luxurious and showing only the bottom ends which are finished in silk. However, when it arrived, I found that the blanket was very thin (the wool is a very thin and fine weave) and the silk finish is only over the top and bottom ends, not the sides. This leaves the sides open, the weave merely stops, not finished at all. My worry is that with use, the wool threads would easily pull and unravel. From the photo and description, it seemed like the blanket would be finished in silk around all the edges. Not so. Even with STP's remarkable discount, the price is unreasonable for the quality of finish. Unfortunately, I'll be sending this back.
