This is the second Deuter pack that I have bought. They are great for field work, day trips, and overnight trips. The rain fly and hydration pouch get a lot of use!

I bought this to put all my climbing gear in and it's perfect. I put two harnesses and a dozen quickdraws in the bottom compartment. I put my 60m rope (inside its rope bag with tarp), a helmet, belay gloves, and two pairs of climbing shoes in the main compartment. It's a tight squeeze for all of that but it works. Then you still have two side pockets and the top compartment for anything else like snacks or cell phone etc...

Great overall pack...mine did have one stitch frayed at a clip-strap-end however when I received it. Lite and very comfortable though.

This is a well made pack. I'm 6' 1", so it is on the short side. Seems to be best suited for those with broad shoulders s well. It is, however, still adequate for me. This shorter torso on the pack would only be a problem if it could carry a larger load than it had room for. Having said that, the load sits nicely on my hips, and has plenty of room for a day hike o climbing trip. May advise the helmet carrier accessory if you require a helmet and a full load of gear (the airflow system isn't suited for maximum capacity). The fabric seems very sturdy and I'm excited to take this out on trips whenever I get the chance. Definitely would recommend for anyone that wants a small pack and is not any taller than I.

About Deuter

Deuter backpacks and hydration packs have set the industry standard for quality, durability and innovation since the company was founded in Germany more than 100 years ago. Deuter packs accompanied mountaineers on early Himalayan expeditions, and Deuter backpacks were used on the first successful climb of the north face of the Eiger in 1938. Deuter introduced the first bike-specific hydration pack in 1990. Today, Deuter backpacks and hydration packs are available in a variety of sizes and models, with many offering customizable suspension systems.
