Reviewed by Lady London from All over Europe on Tuesday, November 27, 2012I'm delighted with this robe which is glamour glamour. Shoulders have small pads a la those robes Marlene Dietich was photographed in. It's a bit "Norma Desmond" (in a good way). A light chemise would be the most I would wear underneath (and wearing less would be better).
I would be happy to be seen in anyone else's home wearing this in the morning or evening, or in a hotel on a glamorous weekend away.
Now to find some mules with a bit of ostrich feather on them :-)
Verified Buyer Reviewed by anne the mmi from charlotte nc on Monday, November 26, 2012after receiving my first one, i bought six more. two more for me and the rest for Christmas gifts. i think that speaks well for diamond tea robes.
Reviewed by Beth from Portland OR on Saturday, November 10, 2012Somehow, I expected a thicker robe. This is burnout fabric, which is not as warm as I expected. It also fits a little snugger in the arms (as the other reviewer noted), so it's not so great for wearing over thicker pajamas.
But it's a stylish and modest robe and I like how it fits and looks. Because it's not so thick, it actually makes a great travel robe. It packs well, in a much smaller space than you'd expect. I would be happy to wear it around someone else's house/kitchen in the morning.
So I am wearing it at home when the temp and pajamas make sense, and I will be taking it on the road with me.
Reviewed by Castlerocker from Castle Rock, CO on Sunday, November 4, 2012I bought this as a robe to wear in the morning over pajamas, but the fit is not designed for that use. I have thin arms, and the sleeves were tight on me even without sleepwear underneath. Also, you have to tug on the zipper to get it past the seams in the bust area. Beautiful garment, but not practical for me.
