You can't beat the value of these suits. They last a very long time with chlorine use and since they are completely lined, they never get see-through on you! this is my 6th Dolfin and at least 2nd Uglie. My only fit issue is that I'm tall-ish, but at 5'7" and 125, I wouldn't expect these to feel ... Read More

My granddaughter swims and I've purchased 5 Dofin swimsuit from STP. Of the 5, 3 have been Uglies. She loves them. The colors are great. They wear and wash well. Very durable. What you would expect from Dolfin.

My granddaughter loves Uglies. We got one in the mail last week and she wore it to practice the very next day. Dolfin brand swimsuits fit her better than any of the other brands that we've purchased. Since she's in competition, we originally purchased Speedo but since we discovered Dolfin through STP especially with the price, she says they fit better. Dolfin is her practice go to swimsuit brand. The colors are awesome along with the fit.

I have bought at least 5 swimsuits of this brand, and this specific design is much tighter in the hips than others.

These suits last forever and the print/striped trim design always gets complements. I wear swimsuits to swim in,not lounge by the pool -comfortable,nice no butt hanging out leg cut-my favorite.

Runs very tight around chest and back. Ordered a 32 based on size chart but had to exchange for 36. Used only once so far but comfortable and dries quickly. I also ordered a TYR suit at the same time for more money and I prefer that one. The quality is a little higher.

    • A 30 would be too big. I would say a 26 at most. I am 5-8 and 130 lbs and I wear a 32. The nice thing about the Uglies is their suit is long enough that it does not ride up. They are a bit longer in the torso than some suits. It may feel a little tight at first. It will stretch a little in the water.

    • I 'm not sure about kids' sizing but I'm 5'4-1/2" and weigh a compact 130 lbs. (low body fat) and I wear a 38 in these Dolfin suits. They fit like Speedo suits, other Dolfin suits I've had, and Finals funky suits that I've had. In other words, I think they're true to size. I almost always buy a 38 in suits but if a suit comes in long sizes I would like a 36L better than a 38. I have a long torso so I have to order a size up when I can't find a long version of a suit. I've probably confused you totally but basically, in answer to your question, these uglies are true to size and great lap swim suits. I've had 3 before the two I just ordered and they do last well and are comfortable to swim in.

About Dolfin

Over 50 years ago, a lingerie manufacturer sitting poolside overheard lifeguards complaining about their lack of quality Australian racing briefs. A week later, the soon-to-be founder of Dolfin had created the high-quality suits these lifeguards were seeking and launched his now-famous swimwear company (we doubt, though, that he told the lifeguards he was using the same nylon fabric that had made his women's lingerie so popular). Since then, Dolfin has successfully outfitted dozens of NCAA champions and even some world-record swimmers. Dolfin's success is based on the company's commitment to innovation, quality and value. Look for recent styles like Ocean and AquaShape, with modern features like chlorine resistance and 50+ UV protection.
