“I'd describe myself as short-waisted and on the "zaftig" side, and this dress makes me feel like Marilyn Monroe! I think it's a very flattering cut except for the layers of wrap around the ribcage area - while the empire bodice is comfortable despite being formfitting, it's a shame to bulk out an otherwise hourglassish silhouette with that extra fabric. Nevertheless, when I tried it on, my boyfriend's reaction was ... quite emphatic! I'll be wearing it to a free-spirited wedding this summer and I just hope he can behave himself! ;)”
