Admittedly, this will be a very user specific review, BUT if you are a plus-sized woman of normal height, these wonderful, warm, comfortable pants may, indeed, work for you! I haven't tried these in the field yet, but they seem ideal for frigid temperatures; they're medium-weight Polartec. I got them for cycling, to wear with liner shorts. They fit well, true to size, and unlike most cycling-specific gear, they're not emblazened with unsightly logos. Good price for an item like this, too.

I use these Polartec Power Stretch Tights for cold weather cycling when the temperature dips below 35 degrees. I find they really keep my legs warm reflect the wind during my 3 mile commute to work. I found the fit to be correct to size. I have another brand of cold weather tights but they do not fit as well as these. I highly recommend them.

I don't understand those reviews that state these are too tight. My waist is 33" and the mediums fit fine. That's consistent with the sizing given. They're called "tights" for a reason; they're supposed to be form-fitting. My legs aren't all that beefy, but they're not scrawny, either. I'm a cyclist, and do dozens of century rides a year, so there's some muscle there. These tights are a little baggy on me if I size up.
