They are snug enough to fit under wind pants and very warm and comfy. I followed the advice of others and ordered up. I'm 5'2" and 115 pounds. They are long, but a small would have been too tight.

Answer Yes. Have several pair and they all fit at the waistline.

Answer The pair I just bought comes half way up my midriff in the front and half way down my backside in the back—missing my waist in both places. I don't know if this is a problem with this particular pair of pants or whether there's been a design change from the perfect fit of several years ago.

Answer They fit at the natural waist, however I must say they dip a tad in the back... at least on me.... the front of the waist lands a bit higher than the back. The elastic at the waist is a nice 1 1/2" wide.

Answer The sizing is very weird. I normally wear a medium, but had to order a 1X to even get them on. I would say they sit slightly below the waist.
