“I ordered 1/2 size up, and they are still too snug for my wide forefoot. They may break in since they are natural leather and very soft. At the same time, the heel is roomy and slips a lot. There is no built-in arch support. Adding an arched insole seems to solve arch and heel problems. These are old-school. Don't expect them to fit like foam-lined lace-up shoes. They are not rugged work boots either. The formal cap toe is unusual on a boot with a big honkin' zipper in front. The overall effect is a bit "Euro." You'll love it or hate it. If I keep them, I plan to get them dirty and dull down the polish so they draw less attention.”
