    Bought these boots for my husband for Xmas; however, the toe box was too snug. I loved the last lace-up pair by this same manufacturer but these boots were a disappointment! Oh well, they were re-gifted to a young laborer who was holding his old boots together with duct tape!

    I too have the same problem as described with the boot fitting too loose in the heel, but I think a tongue pad should do the trick. I think they'll be great for working in the stables and will last for years with some weather proofing.

    I was at first disapointed in the fit and comfort but after a few days around the the house and one day out and about the boots broke in and are very comfortable. Just treat them with a spray silicone or a water proofing cream to keep them water proof.

    Very comfortable boots for a steel-toe: you don't even notice the steel-toe. However they are real boots, and need to be fitted correctly and given time to fit and break-in. The are heavy, and have thick sole that may get thicker with padding or inserts. Once worn in, they are great for working or riding - or even to wear around town.

    I have ridden three times wearing these boots and they are just right with one exception. The tread pad under the ball of the foot keeps your foot in the stirrup just right and they are comfortable and functional. I found the heel was too wide for me and my heel kept slipping up but a thicker pair of socks greatly helped this. 9-10 hours in the saddle and daily stable work has proven these to be useful boots.
