High quality natural mattress pad for those who want to avoid toxins found in conventional mattresses/mattresses pads. Accumulated toxins attribute to illness - so better safe than sorry. Worth the price!

Having gotten a full size one a while back for our sleeper sofa, I ended up sleeping on it a few times and decided I wanted one for our new latex mattress. I waited for the price to drop recently and got 3 more. Told my sister about them and she ordered some for her house. Really high quality product.

this pad is totally awesome..... I have been waiting for one like this for a very long time. Even my husband finds it so very comforting to sleep on. I only hope that it won't felt in time to come. Great quality product

Let's start right off with what's wrong: the anchor bands don't even begin to stretch around the corners of a modern mattress. Fortunately, the material is not particularly slippery, and the pad stays more or less where it belongs.
What's right: The covering over the wool pad is well-made, stitched, bound, and quilted so that the pad works effectively. Both my husband and I have arthritis, and even in late summer have found the pad a comfort. I don't yet know whether the mattress warmer will work with the pad in deep winter, but I suspect that all will be well.

I bought this to protect and add a little extra cushion to a 3" Japanese style floor futon. It has a nicely smooth, cushy, soft feel. Was about an inch thick to begin with and has compressed a bit after use. The elastic bands are loose but work fine--though, again, my mattress is only 3" thick. And there was no bad smell that I noticed (always a concern when buying bedding...). Very pleased.

I have wanted a wool topper for my bed for years, but the cost was always too high until I saw the DownTown Mattress pad. Got the Queen size and it fits the length and width of the mattress top just fine. The bands that hold it down slip around the corners of the mattress as pictured - but they do not stay in place. I had to put the cotton mattress pad on top of the wool one just to keep it from sliding off to one side of the bed or the other, which kind of defeats the purpose of the wool being excellent at wicking heat and moisture away while you sleep. I can't rate this more than 3 stars.
