    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I bought these scissors to use for trimming embroidery threads. I found that the blades are straight, not angled and hence it is hard to trim the threads closely. Seemed like a good idea but don't buy these scissors expecting to trim embroidery thread. Perhaps I will find an application for these scissors yet.

    These scissors are well made and do the job. The only potential downside is that the point is extremely sharp and could puncture you or your equipment. So, I'm putting mine in a sheath.
