Recently I was with a friend shopping at a large major fly shop. He bought this same Spring Creek Clamp. A week later, the same clamp went on sale at Sierra Trading Post for half the price...what a deal. I bought two. The fit and finish of the clamps looks good and they seem to work fine. They look like overstocks. I have to admit that a number of years ago I bought some Dr. Slick fishing clamps from Sierra Trading Post that were probably "seconds" - they were pretty good but they all had trouble staying in the locked position. That rendered them useless for use out in the river, but I ended up using them on the fly tying bench.
