I have only made one trip with these flies and they worked fine. Used a bead headed prince nymph and it fell apart after 40 minutes. Same thing with one of the Wooley Buggers worked fine but it came apart even though I was using it on a lake and got very little action. The box I received was not one with 12 compartments as well. It had six compartments so they must have changed it since making the description. They are not the longest lasting/best quality flies I have purchased but they were the cheapest.

Not a gift but will be for XMAS to my good fishing buddies, these are the best quality, I have seen even in my local Pro shop. I think I will try a dry to as it can not hurt to load up on the basics, flies used every day out.

quality seems the same as at good fly shop, for half the price. gives you the ability to build a base stock of patterns you use all the time - but take a lot of time to tie - so you can use your own time to invent your own or do ones that are less commonly available. Great to have 20 or 30 prince, copper john, pheasant tail, beadhead, without hours at the vise.
