Would be a great backcountry boot for short but aggressive trips. Feels very solid and stiff, but too heavy for long tours. I did return the boots just for this reason, but did consider keeping them for alpine use only. Very comfortable and no goofy colors as dynafit seems to like.

The first boot I have found I can wear all day comfortably. A perfect fit for wide widths. Comfortable for hiking in the back country as well as skiing groomed trails.
