Eagle Creek Continental Voyager Pack - 45L, Convertible, Wheeled

I have not had a chance to use this bag yet but it seems well made and has many compartments, which I find very useful. I'm looking forward to trying it out soon. I haven't given it 5 stars only because I have yet to fill it and test it.

These reviews would be most useful 2 or 3 years after heavy usage, but I would have forgotten to submit a review by then. I have only taken this on 2 trips, but was very please with the overall durability, design, size. It fits in the overhead compartment of 3 different airlines (maybe all?) There is 1 main compartment for 90% of the stuff, 2 smaller side compartments and 1 almost envelope-sized compartment that will fit paper work, thinner book, etc... This works well for me as 10 different compartments gets confusing and limits what can be put in due to size constraints. It's a piece of carry on luggage, not a trunk.

I intend to use this as a carry-on. I first considered purchasing its larger cousin, but reviewers of that model advised that it is too large to fit in overhead bins. Having compared this model to the one it is replacing, I'd say that this model could be significantly larger and still fit. So, like Goldilocks, I'd be happiest with something in between. Still, the unit appears to be well made and easy to use....just a little small.

Great size carry on for a week long trip. I tried it out in the rigid 'sizer' used for carry ons when checking in and it slipped in without any problem. It fit easily in the overhead bin on both the 737 & M80. It's lightweight and even when packed full, I had no problem lifting it up overhead. It is narrower at the top so it's not as roomy as a regular 'boxy' suitcase. I did not try the back pack straps.
