I love the weight and shape of this bag. It is very light to begin with. It's amazing the difference a few ounces (let alone a pound) makes, so right off the bat this luggage is very light weight. Yet, it is sturdy and spacious. I packed three days worth of clothes (including two suits) using the pack-it system in this bag. The shorter body is perfect for many airline and train storage areas. I know I sound like I work for Eagle Creek but I don't. This is just one rocking' bag.

My wife and I are retired, love to travel and the Eagle Creek Tamarac is perfect for the way we travel. We go to Europe a couple of times a year, for almost a month each time, and must travel lightly. We use trains, buses and planes, but seldom use taxis. Although quite a bargain, such transport challenges us with many flights of stairs. If you've ever used the London and Paris underground you know what I'm talking about. While sturdily built, with exceptional wheels and handle, Tamarac luggage is light and doesn't add to our load. We also like the double posted handle, which allows us to slap another smaller bag securely onto it without worry of it sliding off. We highly recommend this sturdy, light weight, easily packable luggage.

We love Eagle Creek luggage and the lifetime guarantee. My husband travels every week on business and this bag is functional and durable. This bag is the 4 th Eagle Creek that we own and will continue to purchase.
The only thing preventing 5 stars is that the size of the 20 inch carry on slightly a different shape than our other carry on. I missed the Wide Body description... I was hoping we would have two exactly the same, but really no big deal
