    I love these boots, but I already once had to return and get a half size smaller. the half size smaller is still too large and I have to wear insoles in mine to make it manageable. I would go a whole size smaller. I live in Canada and so far for winter they seem great. Takes a bit of breaking in, but being leather it will stretch and conform to your feet nicely (Hence going smaller). Mine are an everyday wear/work boot (The peanut colour, mine aren't finished with oil). First time I had ordered they were the dark brown and have a classy oil finish to it and could be a "Nancy" kind of guys footwear. If you live in Canada, get the right size first time. Shipping back is a pain. (Apparently leather over border crossings doesn't fly so easy)
