“I ordered these boots (April 2010). Last August I caught my little toe between the seat and frame of a reclining chair. Even now, virtually all of my shoes, hiking boots included put pressure on the toe and are painful to wear. The Earth Cypress hiking boots are perfect; They have extra toe room and the sunken heel keeps the weight on my foot balanced rather than shifting it forward. In addition, they're lightweight and breathable - a big plus in the summer, as I can't stand it when my feet get too hot. I'm not sure they'd be the best boots in cold, rainy weather, but they're ideal for summer hiking and casual wear.”
