Earth Skipper Boat Shoes (For Men)

good variation to a great sole, so far very happy

Let me preface by saying that I haven't bought a pair of boat style shoes in 15 years because nothing has offered arch support since my 3 eyelet pre-Nike Cole Haans wore long ago. These seemed to be the answer and they are incredibly comfortable. Yet, unlike most boat style shoes, they are lined. The lining is actually incredibly well done, the stiching is of high quality and it adds to comfort. Except the lining has 2 major detractions. It seems to inhibit breathing, but more importanly, it absorbs odor. As much as I want to, I can not wear these without socks anymore. Which is how I wear boat shoes - when I'm wearing shorts and want more foot coverage than sandals. No amount of deodorizing seems to help. Sad, because they are otherwise super comfortable, they're Earth Shoes, and seem like they'll be very durable. I'm about to roll the dice and throw them in the washing machine with some towels....

For me, this shoe just didn't cut it. Never had the negative heel before, and still didn't like it. Forefoot was too wide (volume), but rearfoot seemed to fit better. Lacing (for me) was borderline because of my narrow feet. Wouldn't bother those with wide feet. So, had to return them. Nice looking shoe, though. If my friend has wide feet, then I would recommend them.

I bought these shoes for my Dad and he couldn't be happier with them. For an 82 year old, who is "unsteady on his feet", these shoes provide excellent support and stability, as well as comfort and good looks.

These are wide enough for extreme bunions and there's a lot more room in the toe box than you'd think. For you flat-footed peeps, don't forget the insole/arch support is removable! The arch was too much for my flat feet so I removed the earth insole and replaced with thin foam insole and all's well. Shoes slip on fast and easy but there is enough lacing to make them snug when needed. No heel slippage. Great price!

I had never worn a pair of earth shoes before and it takes some getting used to , after three days I am more comfortable with the feel

These are the lightest leather shoes I have ever worn. Comfortable, nice looking and true Earth Shoe technology does not get any better than this. I am very pleased with these shoes.

This is just an all around great shoe. So I decided to put a 2nd pair away in the event that I wear the first pair out.

I thought they'd look crazier than they do. From far away you don't notice the weird soles. The downslope feels nice, and believably improves posteur.
