Unfortunately, they were very chunky and looked huge on my feet, even though I am not a tiny person by no means. They might work for someone with extra wide feet and very large silhouette, since they seem to be very sturdy and have a lot of padding.

The leather on these shoes is very soft. The color is not a rich warm color, but rather a milky brown. They look good with pants, of course, but they look matronly with a skirt. No fit problems for me. I returned simply because they were only an option for pants (in my opinion). Regular size was fine for stocking-type socks, but may size up for thicker socks.

Love these "sh-oots"Reviewed by April Dancer from California on Friday, November 29, 2013I'm a big fan of Earthies.They've allowed me to wear heels again - something I haven't been able to do, due to hip replacements and a bad back, in years. OI he acquired a number of them over the last couple of years. It's so nice not to feel clunky all the time! I love these. My husband called them sh-oots, because they are shoes but look like boots with pants. I wouldn't wear them with skirts or dresses, but they are great with pants and jeans and are exceedingly comfortable.
