ever owned. They have a heel height that I can life with and they have that little scrunchy top
which will look stellar with fitted pants. I have rarely been as thrilled with a purchase anywhere

However, the heel is too high and thin for me to walk comfortably. If the heel were thicker or lower I would feel more stable, but as it is they feel too wobly.. If you can walk comfortably in heels like this you should buy these boots, the leather is soft and lovely.

A bit snug when I first put them on but the soft leather quickly conformed to my feet, which are pretty wide. The first time I wore them was to an elegant cocktail and dinner party and, given the higher heel and pointy toe, I was very pleased with how comfortable they are.

I did not find it out dated, but, instead a wonderful retro look sporting a stable heel! Runs true to size (I tend to go up a half size to accommodate light socks and to offset pointy toe). The toe is pointy but the point extends a little past the toes still leaving plenty of toe room. The nice suede foot bed keeps feet from sliding forward and jamming into the pointy toe area. The heel is just high enough where I can still walk in them but it's higher than a kitten heel. The shape of the heel is nice and sturdy, but elegant. As an ankle boot, the slouch look can be dressed up or down, with skinny jeans, hidden under a pair of boot cut pants, dress pants, and dresses. As I write this review I'm wearing them with a sweater dress and textured tights. :)

They look classy and they're pretty comfortable. Also, the height and width of the heel gives me the stability I need. I have another pair of Earthies shoes size 6 that fits perfectly. So, I ordered size 6 in the Montebello Ankle Boots and they are a little big, and a bit too wide around the ankles. If it came in 5.5, I would exchange it. I'll keep them and where them with thick socks.

Ended up having to return my first pair to order the next half size up (normally wear 6 or 6.5, but ended up with a 7 so my toes were not scrunched at the end of the boot). So excited to finally have a pair of stylish (and supportive) heels to wear with dress pants to work during the cooler months!

The boot is very nice leather, and the Earthies footbed is comfortable. However, they looked horrible on. The ankle was twice as wide as mine and the pointed toe was disproportionately short relative to the width of the shoe. They looked like something out of the 80s in a bad way. For reference, I am petite at 5'2" and 120 lbs. My ankles are just normal though, not particularly skinny.

They look way more expensive than in the picture. I can wear these with work slacks and with tights and skirts. The height is great. The sizing is correct. I wear a 7.5 - 8 in a dress pump and an 8 in boots. These fit with thin wool socks and are not too big with trouser socks.
