These poles are lightweight, strong enough to support my 230lb frame so far without much flex, and the locking mechanism is very secure. Excellent price as well.

Not the lightest, not the shortest to pack (2-piece); but very well made and for the cost and with STP service, great deal! Bought them to go with new snowshoes.

This is my first trekking pole. Like many others, I was not a believer in trekking poles. I completely changed my mind once I used it in a 11 miles hike with substantial elevation gain and loss. I went to a local outdoor store to check out the other poles and nothing can beat the price/feature combination of these. Things I like: - grip: foam grip feels more confortable than regular ruber/plastic. - locking mechanism: very sturdy, very secure, easy and quick to lock. - height adjustment: very good range. I am 6'1" and I had no problem finding the right height going up hill in a very steep mountain or coming down. - weight: about the same as any other aluminium poles. Others have already mentioned that the poles don't stay in place when fully compressed. However, this is an non-issue for me. I just strap the poles upside-down on my backpack. Costs less than half of other poles with similar features.

I bought these poles because they were cheap, looked sturdy and received positive reviews. They were fine on flat surface: comfortable grip, not very heavy, easy to adjust. However I got in trouble on icy steep trail, and was surprised to see the pole broken in two pieces, not just bent as you would expect from aluminium pole. I am switching now to a better brand, like Leki.

It was a bit tricky to figure out the locking mechanism at first but then it was easy to use from then on. I agree that it is annoying that the sticks always have to be stored upside down or they will slide out, but it's not a big deal. Really useful for my stability.

Easy to adjust and strong. It's not the lightest and the grip can be a bit more comfortable. Well worth the price.

Only used them once, but so far so good. Easy to adjust, lock in place well. Not the very best poles, but very good and for an outstanding price
