    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    Pretty shoe. The patent leather is fairly soft/flexible compared to most patent leather shoes I've tried. However, the elastic collar at the heel pushes my foot forward so my toes get squished. The shoe would be true to size if I could keep my heel at the back of the shoe.
