5.0 out of 5 stars. Very warm

Hubs loves these Ecco socks. Right thickness for cold days. They keep his feet warm and were great on our recent overnight backpack camping trip. He has ordered more.

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Do not wear well
Reviewed by Paul in the valley from Illinois on Sunday, March 25, 2018
The socks are soft and comfortable. However, they do not wear well. After a bit more than one season's winter wear, some pairs (I bought six pair) are worn through on the heel; relatedly, they shed lots of sock fuzz balls.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable, but wear out quickly

I purchased seven pairs of these for daily use. They were thick and very comfortable, but after about 9 months (I'm guessing about 30 days of use per pair), they almost all have large holes, mostly in the heels and some at the ball of the foot. And that's mostly wearing them to my office job, not for long hikes.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Contains only 17% Merino wool

Disappointed that the content of merino wool is only 17%. Mainly acrylic and polyester. Was misled into thinking it was mainly wool based on the name of the item, but my fault for not reading the specs. Too inexpensive to return, so I'll live with it.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great sock for the price

Merino wool which is very soft and warm. The sock is not as shaped as others may be, but still a great purchase for the price!
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. HUGE!!!

While these socks look great and appear to have typical Ecco quality, the sizing is waaaay off! The L is listed as shoe size (M) 8-12; in fact they are probably 11-14. Much too large for my spouse's size 8.5 foot.
