Ecco Transporter Leather Shoes - Lace-Ups (For Men)

Like all eccos they are very very comfortable but like all Eccos I have seen (and I've bought them for years) they are poorly made. I have never worn down the sole on an ecco shoe; they fall appart before that can happen. After returning two pairs at one big department store after they fell apart and three at another, I finally went to a shoe maker and had my last two pairs (one from Sierra and one from a Major Name retailer, not this shoe!!) restitched. It cost under 20 bucks and I now have good shoes! Funny Ecco uses such junk thread on their shoe assembly. They are the most comfortable brand I've ever found. Oh, I'm 63 and pretty active. I own Ecco work boots too and expect to have them restitched soon... the secret is as soon as you see seams coming apart (and you will on all their products) take them to a shoemaker. I tried "shoe goo" on one pair. Don't work and looks very bad... I returned these to Sierra. While comfortable, they look like plastic, the laces broke within weeks, and they were undersized. Sierra took them back no problems.

These shoes looked good when they came, but as soon as I picked them up, they felt extremely light and cheap. Also, they do not even state on the shoe that they are leather, and they look (up close) and feel like plastic not leather. My husband was very dissapointed, we returned them.

These shoes follow ECCO extreme comfort feeling. They are soft and broken in out of the box. I will add a little arch support. Expect them to provide comfort for hours of dancing on hardwood dance floor and rugs.

These shoes look smart and will be great for use while traveling, particularly while sight-seeing in cities. Look good with casual attire as well as suits and sports coats while dining and going to shows, etc. Lightweight makes them good for packing.
