I have recently purchased some Tri-cams when they come on sale at STP, and some CAMP wedges at another store during the annual dividend sale. As a beginning climber, I needed some quick draws to go with the protection. Most of the Quickdraws I have found are about $10 to $15 each, so be getting these bent gate carabiners on a super sale, tieing some runners and ordering some straight gate 'biners on super sale, I have made myself a number of quick draws for less than what I can buy them for. Not as fancy unless I sew up the webbing or tape it, but still the cost of gear for a beginner seems pretty steep and this was a good way to make it a little less. They seem as good as the 'biners in the few professional quickdraws that I own.

I love these carabiners. I use them to hang things in the garage and they do the trick.
