Pros:
Bright, Long battery life, Stable
Cons:
No Beam Adjustment
Best Uses:
Night Work
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I use this head light for working in my bucket truck. I do system work at night. Brightest led light I've ever used. It could use a beam adjustment from spot to flood. Very good.

I will be using this on a walking & camping safari in Tanzania, so I have not used it in the wild yet. However, I tried it out at home and was impressed with the brightness of the light, its ease of use, comfort, and perceived sturdiness. The idea of hands free lighting for me is a plus especially since I am not a camper/outdoorsy person and I am sure it will light up a tent just fine. I will likely leave the headlamp with my travelling companion since he is a guide in Tanzania and such things are very difficult to get. But, I may purchase another one to keep at home in the event of a blackout. Also, I feel I got good quality at a good price.

Pros:
AA batteries easy to use, Bright, Long battery life, Stable
Cons:
Bulky, Heavy
Best Uses:
Power outage at home
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I thought the lighting provided by the head lamp itself was great. I also liked the fact that AA batteries, which are easy to come by, was its power source. What I really didn't like was its weight and bulk. I started getting a headache shortly after donning the lamp, and can't see myself wanting to use it for much more than maneuvering around a dark house or a quick trip to the restroom while camping. For people who plan on wearing a headlamp for extended periods of time this is not the headlamp I would suggest.
