Camping/Hunting, Emergencies, Outdoors, Power Outages
Describe Yourself:

Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
“Sturdy construction including crank handle, and good battery life after cranking or car charging (a previous different crank radio/light was neither). Brightness only adequate, but its 3 LEDs may have the best brightness/batterylife combination. Radio reception AM/FM/NOAA all good even in the woods (tested in the Adirondacks). Sound good. Car charger gives complete charge but takes 5 hours or more. Instructions are poor; eg all seven NOAA channels are available but it's not clear that to get them you have to push the "Weather Band Scan" button on the yellow face up to seven times (the button sequentially scans each channel); and the light bends but doesn't "swivel" or "focus". Bottom storage area is too small to hold everything. On others' comments: a household-plug charger is available from the manufacturer's website but adds to cost; bottom storage area latch shouldn't break in normal use, but latch may wear out with time. Overall a good buy.”
