The eGear is every bit as good as the higher priced model.

Nice bright beam, very lightweight, nice stiff clip. No adjustable beam and the on/off is a little counterintuitive. All around seems like a good light for the money.

Nice size, feels very sturdy and durable. Bright light (not as powerful as some much more expensive tactical flashlights -- but sufficient for home use in conjunction with a handgun, I think.) An addition to my home security arsenal; useful too as a bashing weapon if needed, with the crenellated bezel on the front of the flashlight.

I use the light primarily as an accessory to a concealed weapon for personal and home defense. The light is compact and very bright. The only feature I wish it had is a strobe function to stun/confuse intruders etc. Very nice tactical light for an extremely low price.

If you are looking for an affordable tactical light, this is not the product. end cap is not secure and switch locking is difficult. Output is low for a tactical light and pre-focus on lens is more suitable for general use. Needs a true lock cap to be suitable for backpacking, but is a good general flashlight for getting around camp and fixing things in tight spaces. Works well for lighting up a decoy trailer and getting around the woods. As noted earlier, if you really want a tactical light, you will have to spend the money on another brand.
