Closeouts. eGear's wire saw ensures access to plenty of fire wood no matter where you end up, thanks to a stainless steel multi-strand cutting wire with two swivel handles for easy cutting of logs and branches.

they are compact and light weight, perfect for our emergency packs (we live in earthquake country) . I wouldn't want to cut down a tree with one of these....but, no room for a chainsaw in a back pack. Would be good for back country backpacking trips also.

This is worth more than I paid for it but I don't think it is high enough quality to make it into my backpack for a backpacking trip. Good to have for hiking and/or in your car/truck for emergencies. An ex-student of mine, says he had one and the rings hurt his fingers when he used it.

All of the eGear items, continue to impress me. The clearance pricing does not reflect the quality. Quality is much higher than I expected. This products will all go in field kits, go bags and survival packs.

This cuts pretty well considering how light and compact it is! The rings at either end are helpful, but they cut into the skin of your fingers a bit too much. For the money, this is a great tool to leave in your backpack pocket!
