Eider Checkstretch Jacket - Soft Shell (For Women)

I needed to size up in this jacket. Then, the collar was too big for my neck though so I need to wear it turned up. This is fairly easy because there is a drawstring on the collar. This is a nice jacket. I don't think it would be worth the original price, but it is worth more than the price asked! It's not a really warm jacket and the light color could get dirty, but I think it has nice lines and is a fairly technical jacket also.

What a steal! This jacket is so versatile and of unbelievable quality, I would have paid three times the clearance price, had I known how great it is.I used it for a hike in windy Denmark last week and it blocks wind perfectly while letting skin breathe. I used it with my Icebreaker 200 base layer and was comfy all week in changing weather. Even had a small amount of rain, about 30 min long drizzles, and it kept me dry throughout.Sizing was just right, I ordered the 40 even though I am more often a 38 (in Haglöfs for instance), but I wouldnt say it runs small, just that Haglofs run a tiny bit large. It has a trim fit, but not overly trim, plenty room for a tight fitting baselayer and a thin fleece if it's very cold.I really like the details of this jacket, the shell fabric has kind of a built in lining that feels nice and soft against the skin. The sleeves have elastic, internal gaiters/cuffs that prevents wind or maybe snow from getting up the sleeves. Collar stands up on its own and has a drawstring in the neck for closing out wind. Collar is lined with a perforated, super soft fleece fabric that feels comfortable against the chin and lets skin breathe, the 3 pockets have the same lining.The clearance price is unbelievable! Softshells like this retails at least [$] around here, one of my best buys for sure! Get it while stock lasts!

This is a really nice jacket and an unbelieveable value. The fabric is stretchier and softer on the reverse than most softshells. The pockets are huge. The sizing is odd - I got a 42 and usually order about a size 8 jacket. The red is a brick red.

I got this out of the Bargain Barn and was pleasantly surprised. I knew the price was right but the quality and appearance are top notch! I bought this out of season so all I did was try it on. The fit is great- except the sleeves are a bit long on me. But I am 5'2". It will probably fit most people. I can't wait to wear it. It is stylist and warm. What a great deal!!!

Hi gals, I do not know whether you have any experience in reading "Climbing" magazine. This brand and this model is recommended as one of the best one in all soft shell line!! It's even better than arc'teryx except its high neck. This is the true soft shell, functional, stylish. beat any products in TNF, Columbia, LoweAlpine lines. 30 bulks, STP is giving the best deal all around this site. good job! Notice, it's made by Eider, not US brand, the atheletic fit. You will like it if you have a super fit frame. I bought 5 one month ago, do not know why it is still not sold out...

This jacket has a 'dressy' look. The cuffs have a close fitting liner that keeps wind out. The sleeves as well as the body are lined with soft fleece, so you can't wear it over a thick sweater. It's comfortable to wear over a short sleeve top. The checkerboard pattern of the collar lining looks a little like corduroy. Very soft, attractive.
