“great investment”

“I walk daily in St. Louis's wet winters. We get more freezing rain than snow in the winter, so the gortex+down are great features. I used to walk with base layers, sweat shirts, and a jacket, but now I can wear a base layer and this coat by itself. The only thing that I didn't like was the fur around the hood, but I simply unzipped it and pitched it. It looked really cheap. Speaking of cheap, I would never send 300 dollars on a coat for myself, but my wife has a North Face down parka and she insisted that I get this one. Later, I told her it was one of the greatest investments I had ever made. I would normally take a medium but we followed the size chart on the site and a large was appropriate. It gives me room to layer. Worth the money if you need a warm coat.”
