Eider Whipper Ski Jacket - Waterproof Insulated (For Women)

great looking jacket...quite stylish, just ran small...at least one, perhaps two sizes.

This is the best-looking, best-fitting ski jacket I've ever owned. It is just feminine enough with a tapered waist but plenty of upper room to allow layering and movement. I love it!

I read an earlier review of this product and was worried it ran small. I ordered the 40 even though I'm a size 6 normally, thinking I wanted to be able to layer underneath it. The jacket was HUGE. The shoulders hung off me and the sleeves came down past my fingertips. I felt like I was wearing a linebacker's jacket. Okay, I thought, my bad. I should have ordered my normal size. I exchanged the size 40 for a 38, and when it came, it was TINY. Way too narrow in the shoulders and way too tight across the chest. I'm now wondering if the reason this coat, which is normally very expensive at regular retail prices, is discounted here because of irregular sizing issues. I was too fed up with the process to try a third or fourth or fifth time to see if some version of the coat would fit like a true 6, which is a shame-- it seemed like a well-made coat with warm insulation and nice features (wrist gaiters, neck gaiter, lots of pockets, etc). I hope others are luckier with this coat, or just more patient with a multiple exchange process than me! : )
