Very disappointed that the description is not correct.

This boot just arrived and I LOVE it. Very comfortable, stylish, and true to size. However, they are described as being faux fur trimmed, when in fact it is REAL fur. Appears to be rabbit. For the customer who avoids wearing real fur at all costs on moral grounds, skip this boot. Since I made the purchase in good faith, I'm keeping them and will enjoy years of wear despite the fact that I am a die-hard animal lover.

Here are the downsides: Not the most practical-- they look like winter boots (being fur-trimmed and all) but they are not in fact insulated or waterproof. The laces, as mentioned by another reviewer, are weirdly dyed and seem cheap-- but are also easily replaced. I would say they run a bit small-- I wear a 10 and the 42 fits well with room for socks and appears no larger than my other shoes. Even at fabulous STP prices, they are rather dear. However, I am smitten anyway-- they're super comfortable (after replacing the removable insole with my own orthotics the arch support is great) and well, how can you not love wearing furry purple lace-up boots???

So far I'm loving these boots. Measurements are spot on. I usually wear between a 7 and 8 in most US size shoes and the 38 in these fits great. There's just enough room to wear slightly thicker socks. Warm on short walks (15-20 mins) with my dog in MN winter. Going to get something for waterproofing so they look nice as long as possible. I've got flat feet, so the arch support could be a little better but these are still very comfortable as is.
Only big downside is that the shoe laces appear to be dyed, but almost give a spray painted vibe at first. They leave black residue all over my hands and stained the lighter, interior side of the leather. For the price on them, shoe laces that didn't pre-stain the boot would have been nice. Overall great investment so far and I'll be looking for a good deal on more shoes by this maker.
