It made such a difference for me that I immediately bought a similar set of goggles for my wife. She has a really small face, so I got her the EG2.5, and she loves them.
It's hard to describe how much more you can see using these goggles versus regular-sized flat lens goggles. It made me feel like I'd been wearing blinders before switching. But you do need to be aware that these are really big goggles, so if you have a small-medium face, you'll be better off with the EG2.5. If you have a medium-large or larger face, these are an excellent choice.
I'm using my EG2s with a size small Smith Optics Variant Brim helmet, and my wife is using her EG2.5s with a size large kids' helmet. In both cases, the goggle completely fills the helmet opening from right to left.
The flash-colored lens is a good compromise lens: it's perfect for days where there are clouds with sunny periods; it's okay for bluebird days, but a darker lens would be better; and it's okay for completely overcast days, but a lighter lens would be better.
Reviewed by Alec F. from Colorado on Saturday, November 9, 2013I'm 6'4" and I have a huge head. Unlike most goggles these fit perfectly and didn't limit my vision at all. No fog at all and my face even got a bit sweaty. For the price I'm extremely satisfied. Highly recommend these for $63. I was able to take advantage of a 30% off my entire order coupon.
Reviewed by Jmac from seattle, wa on Wednesday, October 23, 2013These googles are amazing. I was looking for some googles with out a limited field of view and I found them. They look nice too. My only complaint is they fit a little tight on my nose. I do have a larger than normal nose and most googles probably would fit this way on me. So not deducting a star.
