“I was expecting the fabric to be woven and have a sheen (not sure why) but it's a actually a soft, very fine knit. I wouldn't wear this to work because the neckline is a little low, but it's a nice dress for a night out. I personally would not pair the balloon sleeves (a little demure) with such a low neckline, but that's just me. As for the waist, I am 5'6" and the bottom seam of the black band falls right at my natural waist. This may be why people feel the waist is weirdly high--the black band doesn't go around your waist, it's entirely above it. Looking forward to wearing this dress dancing!”
