Closeouts. A flattering bias-cut interpretation of jersey in uniquely patterned houndstooth, this above-the-knee Ellen Tracy dress continues its slimming look with a wide elastic belt trimmed in leather at the buckle.

I'd been eyeing this dress for a long time and finally purchased it. Really nice fabric, great print, well made. Personal choice: I cut off the belt loops and discarded the belt. The waist is OK for me and my short waist, but it might feel empire-style to someone else. The faux wrap front is cut low and really features The Girls!! Rather than pinning the front, I wear a cami underneath for modesty in the office.

I am 5'2" and the length is at my knee, as in you can see all of my kneecaps. The material is not lush, but the wrap effect gives you 2 layers in the front and in the back they put in a black underlayer. So you don't need to wear a slip. The vee is pretty deep for me (again, 5'2"") but flattering. If I had more of a waist, the belt would accentuate it. With black accessories, this dress could look very nice, indeed - perfect for an office. The fit is right on or maybe a little tight. I like it and LOVE the price.

Even though I am only 5'2", I am long-waisted and this dress is not. It would be perfect for a high-waisted individual.
Overall, the material was thick and not fllimsy at all. The belt was a little chintzy. It hits just above the knee and is
very work appropriate.
