Reviewed by Mom and daughter from Israel on Friday, January 11, 2013I just got the jacket and tested it last night: I wore it with only a thermal top and a scarf underneath in low-40s weather, and it was warm enough. It may need layering underneath for extremely cold weather. There is a fuzzy lining on the upper portion that helps retain the warmth (in addition to the high quality down throughout). The sleeves seem long, but that is because the sleeves extend way past the elastic which is at the right place on my wrist. When I curl my fists into a ball, the sleeves cover my hands and keep them warm without gloves. I ordered small which fits both my daughter (17 years old, 5'4" and medium build) and myself (53 years old, 5'6" and thin build) so this will be our sharing jacket. That said, the jacket is a style which is flattering to all ages. It only came in white, which is very attractive, although I generally don't buy white because it gets dirty faster. The coat comes with a small pouch which the jacket is supposed to squish into for packing. I suppose it does, but haven't tried it yet. Overall, a very high-quality, attractive, warm jacket at a great price. The only reason I didn't say the jacket is good for daily use is because of the color. I would use a darker color for every day, but this white jacket is great for dressing up a bit or looking nice for work.

Reviewed by newyorok from new york on Wednesday, December 19, 2012very, very nice product all around, but surprisingly not very light-weight; weight equals or is a bit more than a common down (ski) jacket. I am 5.7 and 130lb and bought XS which fits me a bit loosely around the waist and upper body in general. arm length is perfect, cannot be a half an inch shorter or it would be too short. great overall design. I hope they will continue to make these with this arm length in all sorts of colours.

It is totally warm enough for snowy weather and not bulky AT ALL! I am 5'8" and 125 pounds and the small fits me perfectly. Thanks Sierra Trading Post for the great deal and the amazing jacket

Reviewed by Gabriela from San Francisco, CA on Tuesday, January 10, 2012Didn't fit at all. I am a medium but this was a tight fit. I like loose jackets to allow me to wear a sweater when needed. Sleeves were too long for my 5'2" frame. Had to return it.
