Empress Silk Ruched Quilt - Queen

This quilt was so much more than I expected. Gorgeous fabric and design. The thickness is perfect for all times of year. The construction is superb! Could not love it more. Great size that actually fits today's thick matress and toppers. [...] Overall fantastic experience.

I love this comforter! It has the ruched look that is very hip right now (pottery barn, anthropolgie and west elm all have their own versions of the ruched look)--but this one is better. I like that it is a comforter (not a duvet cover that can look messy) and is so soft. I actually got another Empress Silk quilt last month that was more pleated, and I like this one much better. The white is a true white, and looks very pretty in a shabby chic sort of way. I wish I could get the shams too, but unfortunately they are all sold out!

Beautiful design, just what I was looking for. As mentioned before definitely NOT silk. Name may be misleading but if you read the description you'll know what you are buying. It is plush, warm and thick, I'm not sure I would use it in the summer. Because it is thick I think I may have to bring it to the dry cleaners to be cleaned next time. I have a large capacity washer/dryer but it still took a few times through the dryer to get it done.[...] There was an awful looking stain on the white quilt when I pulled it out, but I didn't want to have to return it just to order another one (I like it that much) I washed it up to see if I could get it out first, viola, good to go. Disappointed that it had the nasty stain, really, but everything else was good.

This is a wonderful quilt. Soft to the touch with a beautiful design. After reading some reviews I was afraid it would be too heavy. It is surprisingly lightweight.

This was amply sized to fit a queen bed and is absolutlely lovely! It's soft and comfortable, we really love the style and couldn't be happier. Haven't washed it so can't give an informed opinion about that.
