Very light merino shirt you can dress up or down. A bit sheer, but great for warm weather or under a jacket at the office. I'm 5.5, 130, 36 bust and ordered both a small and medium in gray. The medium is much looser but I am keeping it to sleep in. Definitely hand wash and air dry. Perfect for travel because it is so light and air dries fast. Nice hiking under layer, too.
Reviewed by wool-lover from bc on Friday, December 14, 2012I was sad to see poor reviews for this shirt so I thought I'd give my two-cents.
It is exactly what I expected:
A thin, comfortable layer of merino. Yes, it is a bit sheer and I have been wearing mine with a tank underneath, but that doesn't bother me. I got a small and a medium (I'm generally a small in everything) and I like the fit of both- although the small does fit a bit better- so I would say it's true to size.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by SF parent from San Francisco, CA on Wednesday, November 28, 2012This shirt is thinner than most of my merino wool underwear. When I tried it on every detail of my bra was visible through the fabric. That might be okay if it were designed as underwear, but the buttons on the placket suggest it's meant to be worn on its own (however those same buttons would show against the fabric of a second shirt worn over it). How is this shirt is supposed to be worn, as an overshirt? But it's pretty slim-fitting for that. I can't figure it out, and that's never good.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Picky from Pittsburgh, PA on Tuesday, November 27, 2012The size chart is off. I am thin with broad shoulders. After reviewing the size chart, I decided the large would be the size 8 I normally wear. Wow, the top was HUGE. If anything I could have sized down to a small. Returned
