    Pros:
    Unique
    Cons:
Doesn't make much coffee, Messy and not practical, Really slow brewing
    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
took this on a short backpacking trip thinking it would be handy. not so much. spent some time testing it out with different amounts of coffee and even added more fuel to get it to brew faster. the faster it brews, the weaker the coffee. and it takes forever to brew either way. definitely not intended for a quick morning coffee fix. it doesn't make very much coffee and it's not easy to make two cups in a row. once it cools down enough to touch it, even with a glove, removing the top from the base knocks any remaining fuel tabs out. messy to clean up too. i was willing to pack this hoping for a good cup of coffee. im pretty picky about good coffee and i would much rather bring instant coffee than take this with me again.

I bought this having read the reviews and agree with them that it is a bit small. However it has the capacity to be an espresso maker and I have found that it works fine with the Esbit spirit stove. I usually have time on bicycle trips to make more than one cup so it is good enough for me.

It took A bit to get it to work right. First, I didn't get any steam pressure because the safety steam valve wasn't screwed on tightly. Then I destroyed the rubber washer by over tightening the valve. After getting a replacement rubber washer from the hardwear store, it has worked very faithfully. I recomend buying one and tossing the esbit stove part, just use it on whatever camp stove you already have (4-6 minutes). The esbit fuel method takes about 22-26 minutes with almost no wind. Great coffee, depending on what you put in of course.
