Perfect experience right out of the box

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I've only made one 5k training run in these since receiving them a week ago, as I rotate shoes. I've been dealing with my supination through stretches and stability shoes, so these were my first cushion-type soles. They were more comfortable than any new shoe I can recall - no rubbing, hot spots or other issues. I'll be looking for Etonic's follow-up to this model in the future.
