Etxe Ondo Esbel Cycling Jacket - Thermolite® (For Women)

Nice jacket but sizing is way off. Had to return as XL said size 16 and it was really a 10. Now I understand why the other review said to order 2 sizes bigger than your normal. Sierra needs to fix the sizing on the site.

I would call this a jersey and not a jacket. It's thinner than I expected - but still warm. It works best with a wind-block base layer or vest. But then...I don't like cold wind. I've worn it (with the base layer) as my only top on a mid-40's degree ride and was fine. As with all EO stuff, it runs a bit small. As a size 12, I got the XL so I could layer, and it's fine.

I wear this as an additional layer for riding in cool weather. It is super soft and flexible, extrememly comfortable and cute. As an only layer, it is not windproof and is a little too cool at temps around 60 degrees F. Around 45-50 I wear it with a longsleeve base layer and a fleece vest and am very comfortable. Really, the only con is that this runs SMALL. Arm and back length are great (A:33", B:26"), but the torso is narrow (B:36", W:31", H: 35") I normally wear a medium (8-10) and the Large is very fitted. It is so cute that I want to wear it everywhere, but because of the size, it isn't quite appropriate.

Runs small. I ordered one size bigger - XL and it was tight across the chest a bit, but because it is stretchy it works. Could have used two sizes bigger especially if you are going to wear a base layer underneath. But happy with the product. My understanding is all their stuff runs small.

I LOVE Etxe Ondo cycling clothing! There is nothing out on the market that has the same high fashion look & performance. Like all Etxe Ondo clothing I own, this jersey runs at least a full size smaller than American cycling wear (which is typical, by the way, of Euro cycling gear). I am a 10-12 & I always take an XL in Etxe Ondo. This jersey is quite warm & is simply one of the most stunning winter jerseys I've ever seen. I picked up an Etxe Ondo vest from Sierra Trading Post that layers beautifully over this to make a great high-performing winter cycling gear combo. This jersey may seem expensive but it is SO worth every penny--nothing out there in the market comes close!
