I am very please with this chair. Very good quality, and a reasonable price. I did not notice any defects and it was easy to put together.

This a beautiful well built wood adirondack chair. Happy with my purchase. Not super wide but fits and contours well for my husband and I's average body sizes.

Just what we were looking for as we have had many that do not hold together well.
Well constructed and very sturdy and comfortable.

Living an hour south of the ADKs, these chairs have been a staple of yards around here for decades. I have tried several varieties and find this to be about the most comfortable, and sturdy (one needs the latter to get out of the deep, inclined seat). The arms a broad and the slats are comfortable; the assembly went well, except I discovered a splinter right below where my left thumb rests on the inside of the left arm. Not sure if it is a structural split or just the end of the wood's grain; whichever, because of its location (for hand and snagging potential), it's going to need to be glued and sanded.

Only other note is that despite the claim that no preservatives or waxes have been added, there is certainly a (walnut-shade) stain on the wood that is not offensive, but it wasn't applied very evenly, and it serves to bead water in the rain. I'm not complaining, but it raises one final question: Should this chair (and its footstool) be sealed for summer-long outdoor use? I don't know how tropical Acacia wood will like upstate New York weather.

I ordered four, and they are a very good value--much cheaper than I could make them myself. They went together fairly quickly. One board in one chair was split, but since it was in a place that didn't compromise the strength of the chair--the fascia board under the seat--didn't go through the hassle of returning it. Thought the aren't rough to the touch, the boards could have been sanded a bit more smoothly, especially on the arms.
