ExOfficio Air Strip Pants - Insect Shield® (For Men)

Bought these for my husband. He loves ExOfficio pants. These pants only have one zipper pocket on the side and he likes to have more zipper pockets...but the pants fit well..packable...and are very durable.

Wear for outdoor activities when insects are a problem. Mfr should have had included draw strings on cuffs. As far as repelling bugs will have to wait for next spring.

I have bought this style of pant 2 times before and am back for more. Long wearing, great for hot days.

I love the pants but the zippers are fragile. If material gets caught in the zipper, unjamming it will usually tear the teeth off the zipper. My wife says the zippers are almost impossible to replace the way the pants are constructed. I wear them both for hiking and for general wear in the south in the summer. They're cool but they offer a lot of insect protection even with the open mesh in the inseam. Our yard is full of midges so I can't wear shorts. These are 99% as cool as shorts, and offer 99% protection from midges--just a bite or two a week when working in the yard or garden.

I own many zip-off pants.[...] They fit fine. The length is too long, but I knew that when I ordered them. After trying on the pants and having the opportunity to see them, I decided to keep them and alter to the proper length. Ex Officio makes good stuff. I fish a lot and they will be good for wearing then as well as casual wear. I was glad to get them for this great price.

Great for travel. Light and quick drying. I use them for golf trips.

Great pants for when it is hot and you need long pants to keep bugs off or protect legs,

I first used these pants for hiking. They're as cool as shorts while providing protection from bushes, tall grass, and bugs. My yard is full of biting midges (no-seeums) and it's impossible to go outside in shorts--several bites per minute of exposure. I've switched to the Air-Strip pants as my standard attire and even without insect repellant they protect me from the midges. (The midges don't go through the openings in the air-strip.) I get a bite or two in six hours of working in the yard.

Best on hot days for occasions where long pants are required.
