    my husband thought the material was very uncomfortable and if it shrunk at all with washing it would have been to small. so we sent it back. Do not know how it performs with the insect repellant

    I was expecting a bit thicker fabric, its standard T-shirt weight. However, we are in love with Buzz-off clothing! We are avid hikers and geocachers and live in a tick invested area. Lymes disease is very prevalant in south-east PA, and these clothes give you peace of mind if you are a bit phobic for ticks. Keeps that ticks and mosquitos away, brilliantly!! We are headed to Mexico soon to give them a real test! Sierra Trading post has the best prices on the Buzz-off clothing, well worth the investment!

    I don't know how anyone could say this shirt offers protection from mosquitos. I work everyday in bug infested swamps and forests in Minnesota; I looked forward to trying this product in order to travel a little more comfortably in the field. It is not effective at keeping bugs from landing on me or from biting me. Those who claim to have lived in Buzz Off clothing in the jungles of central america, etc and never got bit obviously never left the parking lot of their eco-tourist hotels or the wind was never below 15+ mph. Those who work in real bug conditions will be disappointed. I do appreciate the thumb hole though; as I write down data in the field I am less distracted due to this wrist/back of the hand protection. Good design, ineffective repellent

    Used the shirt for four day backpacking trip in Yosemite. The shirt kept the mosquitoes off me for three days.The mosquitoes were starting to land on the shirt by the end of the fourth day. I'm still reserving judgement on the long term durability of the repellent.
