    These shorts were wonderful for travelling in the US this summer. I was able to wear them several days in a row without washing--no smells and dirt slid right off. Because of the smooth front, I was able to pair them with a nice shirt and shoes and wear them to a restaurant in the evening after having worn them hiking in the day. As for sizing, I normally wear a 2, and the size 4 fit comfortably.

    These shorts are durable, comfortable, and nice looking as well. Perfect for backpacking,day hikes, gardening, or just kicking around town. I wasn't sure if I'd like the side zipper pockets as they seemed kind of inconvenient to use but now realize that they create a clean smooth line on the fit. I'll be wearing these shorts often!

    I usually wear a large 6; ordered a 10 and they are very tight - more between a 4 and 6. The "passport" pocket is too small for a passport. The hand pockets, when unzipped, gap unattractively and are too small to put your hands into.

    Quality and styling of these shorts is very good, but the sizing is significantly off, especially in the hips. I usually wear a size 6 and have found that a size 8 is too small. But since I like the quality and styling I am willing to try again.
