    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I bought these pants for my daughter to wear at sailing camp (on the Chesapeake, lots of bugs, especially in the evening.) They may repel bugs, but she says they are "not cool." Specifically, she doesn't like the tattoo-like design imprinted around the cuffs in dark blue ink, the baggy waistline, and the fabric, which wrinkles. She would rather wear bug spray.
